How to use the Campaign image content block

Add a wide image to your upsell offers and upload from your device when Shopify's file picker is unavailable.

Before you begin

Use the Campaign image template for a seasonal campaign, collection, or gift guide. This template was previously called Collection image.

Open the content block editor from your upsell strategy or your saved content blocks. Have an image ready in Shopify Files or on your device. Device uploads support JPG, PNG, or WebP images up to 10 MB.

Choose an image

  1. Choose the Campaign image template when creating your content block.

  2. Under Image, select Replace to change the sample image, or Select from Shopify Files if the field is empty.

  3. Choose your image in Shopify's file picker.

  4. Review the preview beside the editor.

To upload from your device, select the upload icon to the right of Replace or Select from Shopify Files. This action is always available, including when Shopify's file picker cannot open. Choose a file on your device. The new image appears after the upload finishes. If an upload fails, your existing image remains and you can try again. Cancelling Shopify's picker does not open the browser picker.

Images uploaded from your device are hosted by Order Editing and are not added to Shopify Files.

Adjust the image

Review Alt text and Link after choosing an image. For an image that carries information, clear This image is decorative and enter a brief description for screen readers. Leave purely decorative images marked as decorative.

An optional link must point to a page on your store. It opens in a new tab.

Use Appearance to adjust the image's layout and style, including border, radius, and padding. Check narrow and wide preview layouts, then save the block.

Use the block in a strategy

Add the block to your upsell strategy in the position where you want the image to appear, then save the strategy. Reuse the same saved block across strategies when they share campaign creative. Editing a shared block updates every strategy that uses it.

Preview the strategy to confirm the image's appearance and position. For Thank You or Order Status placement, also review the checkout editor preview. These previews confirm appearance; they do not verify live targeting.
