Your store needs an active Swish account and the Swish integration must be available in Order Editing.
Ask Swish support for the admin token required by the integration.
The customer needs saved wishlist products for the module to return recommendations.
Customer identification depends on the selected surface. Guest sessions may not have a customer ID and can return no products.
Prepare another broadly eligible product module later in the module order if you want the strategy to continue when Swish has no results.
In the Shopify admin, go to Apps > Order Editing.
Open Integrations.
Select Swish.
Enter the admin token provided by Swish.
Select Check status.
Resolve any connection error shown by the app.
Select Save Swish settings.
Turn on Use Swish Wishlist integration.
Save the integration again if prompted.
Keep the token private. Do not add it to an article, screenshot, support message, or customer-facing field.
Select Upsell Strategies.
Create a strategy from Placements or open a draft strategy.
Complete the placement, market, strategy name, and customer targeting steps.
At the product selection step, select Add Module.
Choose Swish Wishlist.
Choose the display order.
Decide whether already-purchased products should be filtered out.
Set the maximum number of products.
Configure quantity, offer text, discount, and display settings as needed.
Save the module.
Add and order any other product modules needed for sessions with no eligible Swish products.
Complete the offer, design, and advanced steps.
Test with a known Swish customer before publishing.
The module combines eligible products across the customer's available Swish wishlists. Older integration settings for choosing a primary or most-recent wishlist do not change this current behaviour.
Setting | What it controls | Default |
|---|---|---|
Display order | Shows recently saved items first or shuffles eligible results | Most recently saved first |
Filter out already-purchased products | Removes products the customer previously purchased | On |
Maximum products | The largest number of eligible wishlist products returned | 10 |
Quantity | The recommended quantity when a product is accepted | 1 |
Offer text | The heading or message shown with wishlist recommendations | Current module default |
Discount | The discount applied through this module when configured | None |
Discount code suffix | Text used to help identify the generated discount configuration | Current module default |
Enforce minimum | Applies the configured minimum requirement when available | Off unless enabled |
Hide quantity | Hides customer quantity controls on supported surfaces | Off |
You can set Maximum products from 1 to 20.
Use Most recently saved first when recency is meaningful for your campaign. Use Shuffle when you want eligible wishlist products to rotate rather than always favouring the newest item.
The module requests wishlist products for the customer available in the current Shopify context. A logged-in checkout or post-purchase session normally provides a customer identity. The Order status surface can provide the order's customer context without asking the shopper to log in again.
Guest checkout, missing customer information, disconnected accounts, or a customer with no Swish wishlist can produce no results.
Order Editing does not expose another customer's wishlist to fill an empty result. When the module returns nothing, the strategy can continue to a later eligible product module if one is configured.
After retrieving wishlist entries, Order Editing still applies current product and strategy eligibility.
A saved product can be omitted when:
it was already purchased and the filter is on;
the product or variant is no longer available;
inventory settings hide it;
the product is hidden from upsells;
it is not available in the customer's market;
it is already represented elsewhere in the offer;
the customer or placement does not match the strategy.
The number returned can therefore be lower than the maximum and lower than the number visible in Swish.
Customers see eligible products from their own Swish wishlists as normal product recommendations in the selected Order Editing placement. They can accept an offer using the payment and editing flow supported by that placement.
If you configure a discount, test the final price and qualification rules. The wishlist source decides which products are considered, while the strategy and module decide the offer shown by Order Editing.
The module does not modify or delete the customer's Swish wishlist when an offer is viewed. Confirm Swish's own behaviour if you expect purchased items to be removed from a wishlist.
Confirm Check status succeeds on the Swish integration page.
Confirm Use Swish Wishlist integration is on and saved.
Choose a test customer with known products saved in Swish.
Confirm at least one saved product is available in the test market.
Confirm the strategy placement, market, and targeting match that customer.
Open the customer journey using the identified customer context.
Confirm the expected wishlist products appear in the configured order.
Test the purchased-product filter using a known previous purchase.
Test a customer with no eligible wishlist products and confirm the later module or empty-result behaviour is acceptable.
Confirm the Swish integration is available, connected, and enabled for your store. If the integration page or module is absent, start a live chat from within Order Editing.
The module needs a customer identity to retrieve that customer's wishlists. A guest session may not provide one.
Check product availability, market, inventory, hidden products, prior purchases, duplicate suppression, and the configured maximum.
The current integration combines eligible products across the customer's available Swish wishlists. Legacy primary or most-recent wishlist mode settings are not used by the current module.
Confirm the admin token with Swish, paste it without extra spaces, and save again. If it still fails, contact Swish for token access and Order Editing support for the connection error.
